The Team: Ladies That UX Austin
Female Designers
Varying in age and experience, looking to be apart of a larger community based project
3 Month Timeline
Over 3 months, we conducted UX research, audited the design system, and created mockups with new feature ideas.
Project Goals
To provide Becca (CEO) insights, gain experience, and practice our UXUI skills.
Situation: Identifying the Challenges
1
Usability Issues
The app had usability issues, poor layout, and bugs that hindered user experience.
2
Connection Difficulties
Users had trouble connecting on the community boards, which was Becca's main concern.
3
Research Insights
User research revealed issues in multiple areas. We conducted a UX audit and identified areas to improve information architecture, design, and stability.
Roadmap
1
UX Audit
We conducted a thorough audit of the existing product, analyzing user flows, pain points, and opportunities for improvement.
2
User Interviews
We interviewed 15 current and potential users to gather insights on their needs, behaviors, and pain points.
3
Wireframing
Each team sketched low-fidelity wireframes to explore different design concepts and solutions for the identified user needs.
4
Design Critique
We brought the initial wireframes to a design critique session, where the team presented their ideas and received feedback from stakeholders.
5
Iterating
Based on the feedback, the teams iterated on their wireframes, refining the designs to better address the key user problems.
6
Prototyping
After aligning the team, I put all the final designs together into a high-fidelity prototype.
